ACTE Region V 2026

I am a 30-year Arizona CTE educator who specializes in entrepreneurship and financial math. I love bringing real-life skills to students. I was a DECA Advisor for over 20 years, developed curriculum for local, state, and national organizations, and was nominated as Arizona Teacher of the Year.  In my classroom, you could see that student engagement was a top priority.  My classroom was very busy with students learning, working together, and applying knowledge to benefit themselves and their families.
I have worked with Take Charge Today for 11 years as a Teacher Trainer and an Education Specialist.  In this role, I develop curriculum and lessons that align to knowledge important for today's students, and I create hands-on activities that build students' knowledge and allow them to practice their transferable skills.  My role also allows me to present at conferences across the United States where I engage with teachers, often doing activities with teachers that they can implement immediately in their classrooms.  I am passionate about student learning and building teachers’ confidence in meeting the needs of today's students.  
 
My passion stems from growing up in a family of 11 children with parents who were teachers, money was scarce, sacrifices were made, and hard work was valued.
